Seeds Wins Community Impact Award from Dominion East Ohio

We’re so excited to have been honored with the 2015 Community Impact Award from Dominion East Ohio on March 16th, 2016.

The award recognized Seeds of Literacy’s East side location (13815 Kinsman Road, Cleveland), which opened in September 2014. The Dominion Community Impact Awards acknowledge the role that nonprofit and economic development agencies play in improving their local communities.

“We are so honored to receive this award,” expresses Bonnie Entler, Seeds’ Executive Director. “For years, residents and nonprofit agencies have asked us to open a site in their neighborhoods, where adult functional illiteracy rates range as high as 85-97%.

“Improving literacy rates builds a strong community. Students at Seeds East are gaining the necessary knowledge that leads to employment, higher education, skilled training programs, and a stronger educational foundation for their children.”

Thank you to all of our students, volunteers, and donors for being a part of Seeds’ positive impact on our community.
