Congratulations Seeds of Literacy Class of 2013

Seeds of Literacy celebrated its 2013 Graduation and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the historic US Bank lobby at 3104 West 25th Street in Cleveland.

This was the largest graduating class in Seeds’ history, with 102 graduates receiving GED credentials.

Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland was the featured keynote speaker. She gave an uplifting, motivational address to the graduates and their families, Seeds volunteers, and friends and supporters. Three graduates, Otha Harvey, Deborah Legg, Michelle Ransby, spoke about their experiences at Seeds and their plans for the future.

Gary McPhillips was named Tutor of the Year, and nine tutors were recognized for more than ten years of service each to Seeds: Jane Bohné , Brian Burtch, Kent Frisby, Dean Knauss, Julie Larsen, Bob Manley, Katy McNamee, Joanne McNamee, and Art Zammikiel.
