Seeds of Literacy Tutor Training Session 3/27/10, 9 am -2 pm, Seeds Resource Center.

Seeds of Literacy, a nonprofit organization offering free, one-to-one tutoring in basic adult education and GED preparation, has a great need for volunteer tutors. Over the past year, student enrollment has increased each week.

Tutors work individually with students on reading, writing and math skills, offer encouragement and support, and help students develop confidence and positive attitudes about learning.

All tutors must attend one tutor training session. Our next session will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Seeds Resource Center from 9 am to 2 pm.

The Resource Center is located at the corner of West 25th Street and Clark Avenue, near RTA lines. Free, secure parking is available in the lot south of the building; enter off Clark Avenue.
