Mission Statement

Seeds of Literacy is an educational ministry initiated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cleveland, Ohio. The focus is to help adults in need of assistance in reading, writing and math and to improve their ability to function, compete and advance in society in an atmosphere of Christian care and compassion.

• Additional training in computer skills and career planning
• Serving over 840 students in 2007-2008
• Over 180 active volunteer tutors in 2007-2008
• One of thirteen programs in Cuyahoga County offering the practice GED test
• Accredited by Pro-Literacy America, part of the largest adult literacy organization worldwide
